Katy is a site of community importance protecting valuable plant communities - xerothermic grasslands untypically located on north-west slope, with numerous orchid species. The site comprises slopes of an eminence situated in the marginal zone of the northern edge of the Roztocze Srodkowe region and takes up the area of 16,9 ha.
