Roztocze National Park lies in the central-east part of Poland, and encompasses the most naturally valuable parts of Central Roztocze. The Park was founded in 1974 over the area of 4,801 ha.
On Lublin and Lwow Uplands there are a few valuable sites where spotted sousliks live. These rodents are endangered by extinction.
