Narew river saved natural character on Bronowo-Lomza section and every year creates vast backwaters in spring. This area is especially a birds' refuge: many species breed here, with rare great snipe, aquatic warbler and ruff among them, and it is the resting place for great flocks of geese, ducks and ruffs during migration. Przelomowa Dolina Narwi is the Special Protection Area and the Site of Community Importance within European Natura 2000 Network. The refuge is located in Narew valley (podlaskie voivodeship), on the border of Podlaska and Mazowiecka Lowland on 16-kilometer-long section between Bronowo and Lomza. more »
