From 1994 until 2003 in Biebrza National Park 168 scientific enterprises were undertaken. 55 research institutions from Poland and abroad were involved in those ventures.
The research concerned for example biology and ecology of many animal and plant species, hydroecology and many more detailed issues.

Narew National Park is located in the north-east Poland. The Park lies in the marshy Upper Narew valley. The Park was established in 1996.
The valley of river Narew is called "Polish Amazon". This area is characterised by many divided and irregulary shaped riverbeds, which are much like those of Amazon.
