Narew National Park logo
Narew National Park is located in the north-east Poland. The Park lies in the marshy Upper Narew valley. The Park was established in 1996.

Marshlands and wasteland are the dominating ecosystems and cover about 90% of the Park area. Uniqe set of diverse environments ensures richeness and variety of flora. Many of the plant species growing in Narew National Park are in danger of extinction and are under strict protection. These are for example: siberiann iris (Iris sibirica), round leaf sundew (Drosera rotundifolia), fringed pink (Dianthus superbus), marsh pea (Lathyrus palustris), crested wood fern (Dryopteris cristata).

Narew National Park is also a valuable bird mainstay.

200 species have been observed in this area. 154 from among them are nesting there. In vicinity of Narew you can observe species of birds placed in the Red Book of Animals such like: bittern, little bittern, black stork, common teal, lesser spotted eagle, spotted crake, great snipe, marsh owl, bearded tit, little crake.
