The natural value of birds' this refuge is a unique character of the river. Narew is the only river that type in Europe in this part of the area. Characteristic feature is numerous deep river beds occurring in the valley, they create complicated system. Its density is diverse in different places of the valley, they have flat bottoms and steep underwater slopes. There are parts of the land remain between river beds - islands - raised during the normal state of the waters slightly over the surface and undated during a flood.
