Little known but undoubtedly worth showing. Located far from popular tourist routes which makes them even more interesting. Neither a geologist nor a botanist nor an ordinary tourist will be disappointed. Within Natura 2000 European Network Rudawy Janowickie are a site of community importance. In the whole area of Rudawy we can find various rocks, often forming complicated mazes. It is an area of very diverse lay of land, covered mostly with spruce-beech and alluvial forests as well as exploited meadows. In streams there occur a protected species of fish - European bullhead. The Karkonosze National Park was established in 1959 to include an area of 5,510 ha. Since 1992 the Karkonosze National Park has been included into the Bilateral Biosphere Reserve Karkonosze/Krkonoše (MaB) which covers over 60,000 ha.
