Torfowisko Sobowice is a unique ecosystem of calcareous fen. The site is one of the most important refuges of a rare and protected plant Ligularia sibirica and numerous butterfly species. Within Natura 2000 Network Torfowisko Sobowice is a site of community importance. The site is located a few kilometers west from Chelm, between Zawadowka, Marysin, Ludwinow and Sobowice.
