Ostoja Poleska is a mosaic of peat bogs, meadows, bog woodland, lakes and ponds. It covers and incredibly valuable natural fragment of Polesie Lubelskie. One can come across postglacial relics like Salix lapponum, Betula humilis, and extensive swamps of Ostoja Poleska are one of the biggest refuges of European Pond Turtle in Poland.
