The biggest value of Ostoja Suwalska is a unique postglacial landscape, rich in diverse forms: moraine hills, deep river valleys, hanging valleys and erratic boulder. There are many lakes, and the deepest in Poland Hancza lake (108.5 m) among them. It is the Site of Community Importance within European Natura 2000 Network. Emperor Wilhelm II had his favourite hunting palace in Romincka Primeval Forest. Eight stone blocks, with inscriptions commemorating his passion for deer hunting are a tourist attraction in the region.
