At the beginning of 1998 the Romincka Primeval Forest Landscape Park was set up to protect the Romincka Primeval Forest and adjacent parts containing the total area of 14,620 ha.  

Emperor Wilhelm II had his favourite hunting palace in Romincka Primeval Forest. Eight stone blocks, with inscriptions commemorating his passion for deer hunting are a tourist attraction in the region.  

Ostrich Fern (Matteuccia struthiopteris), a large, feathery, deciduous fern, under protection in Poland, may be found near the village of Dubieniki in Romincka Forest.
