Bory Tucholskie National Park was established in 1996, on the area of 4,789 ha. The Park is located in the central-north part of Poland within the Polish largest forest complex - Bory Tucholskie.

Chequers (Wild Services Tree), the tree growing in Drawa National Park, is alongside with Arolla pine (Swiss stone pine), yew, Ojcow Birch (Betula xoycoviensis) and Swedish Whitebeam (Sorbus intermedia), is one of five tree species, which are strictly protected in Poland.
