Bats have domesticated for good on the monumental building's attic of Primary School in Kopanki spot. There is a breeding colony of the greater mouse-eared bat - one of the biggest species of bats in our country. The first in Europe observation point of the breeding colony called "Batmanowka" was founded in the building, and school in Kopanki was included into programme of European nature's protection Natura 2000 as the Site of Community Importance. Bats wake up from the hibernation in April, and because there is more and more insects over the waters, woods and fields, bats get quickly into their regular condition.
