Dolina Leniwej Obry is a mosaic of various habitats - meadows, wetlands, alluvial forests and other deciduous stands. There is a unique in Poland stand of parnassius-leaved water plantain in the area. The valley is a bird refuge of country importance. It is also a Site Of Community Importance within Natura 2000 network. Diverse lay of the land results from activity of glaciers which created trough lakes, eskers, kames and kame terraces. The valley is a mosaic of various habitats, mainly extensively exploited habitats influenced by secondary succession, alluvial forests, pine forests and eutrophic lakes. Human interference with the ecosystem has brought quite unexpected results connected with complicated geological structure of the valley.
