Area of Dolina Drwecy refuge encompasses "Rzeka Drweca" reserve with: Drweca's tributaries - Grabiczka and Dylewka rivers with parts of Dylewka Poborska Struga, Gizela, Balcynka, Ilawka, Elzka and Wel rivers situated near the estuary, and the flow of Ostrowin and Drweckie lakes, as well as naturally valuable part of the Wel river, located outside of the reserve. Apart from waters of the river the refuge encompasses a five-meter-long belt of land at the both banks of the rivers mentioned earlier. The refuge, which is a Site Of Community Importance, presents a valuable mosaic of habitats with various types of reservoirs, alluvial forests and extensively exploited meadows. All along the water it constitutes the reserve called "Rzeka Drweca", established in order to protect a water habitat and fish which live. more »
