Did you know that...
The biggest yew in nature park in Wierzchlas is 600-700 years old. It is 232 cm in circumference (74 cm in diameter), and is 15 m tall.
Polish painter Leon Wyczolkowski named this magnificent yew "Chrobry" after Polish King Boleslaw Chrobry. The artist preserved the tree in his work, awarded at the exhibition in Venice.
