Apart from its diverse landscape Brzeznicka Wegorza is valuable for its well preserved deciduous forests. It is particularly interesting considering that the neighbouring complexes have been to large extent transformed. Brzeznicka Wegorza is home for lesser spotted eagle. In winter one can see flocks of ducks in the area. Brzeznicka Wegorza is a Site Of Community Importance. It is an area of varied land formation. In the upper course of the river, it looks like a mountain stream of large inclination, swift current and stony bottom, whereas below the Zabice river it flows down along a wide valley. more »

Bory Tucholskie National Park was established in 1996, on the area of 4,789 ha. The Park is located in the central-north part of Poland within the Polish largest forest complex - Bory Tucholskie.
