Long-lasting exclusion of the area of "Biedrusko" military training ground from traditional forms of human influence on environment has led to development of specific habitat conditions which secure large diversity of flora and fauna. The refuge is important for protection of European biological diversity. It is a site of community importance. The area is characterized by the varied features of the land. Southern part is dominated by elevations of a frontal moraine. Central part is a rugged moraine upland. Northern and north-eastern parts encompass a fragment of the Warta river valley. more »
