Puszcza Niepolomicka (Niepolomicka Primeval Forest) lies in the vicinity of one of the biggest Polish cities – Krakow. This forest occupies the area of 10000 ha and stretches as close to the city as 12 km from the suburbs of Nowa Huta. In the times of the forest greatness, many animal species like European bisons, aurochses, deers, bears, wolves, lynxes and wildcats were living within its borders. The forest was then a place where the kings hunted.
