The last Tarpan Bilgoraj Forest Horses live in the vicinity of Janow Lubelski. These animals are hybrids of tarpan horse and domestic horse. It grows up to 130 cm in withers, and it is grey-haired with dark stripe across its back.  more »

The Breeding Centre of European Bison was established before WW II in Poszyna, located in the central part of Niepolomicka Primeval Forest. The first couple of animals was brought there from Bialowieza.  more »
