Jezioro Oswin and okolice refuge is a hatching, breeding and resting place of many rare bird species. It also has a special importance for European winter and autumn migrations route. Within Natura 2000 network it is a Special Protection Area. The refuge encompasses a fragment of postglacial bottom moraine plain with characteristic numerous depressions and elevations. Features of the landscape are strongly diverse, and height differences reach locally 50 m. It is a fragment of Pobrzeze Wschodniobaltyckie (the East-Baltic Shoreland) region drained by rivers of Pregola basin which flow to Zalew Wislany (Vistula Lagoon). more »
Jezioro Oswin can be most easily reached by your own mean of transport. The closest bigger town is Wegorzewo. From there one should take road no. 650 towards Srokowo and then follow to a village of Bajory Male which lies close to the lake. more »
