The Masurian Lakes Region is a fascinating land called by the ecologists "The Green Lungs of Poland". It is situated in the north-east part of our country. Part of this magnificient land is governed by the Wegorzewo County.

The county consists of 693km2 and is bordered by the Kaliningrad District on the north. 33,52% of the county's area is covered by the lakes and forests - an enormous supply of fauna and flora, as well as the cleanest air and water supplies in the country.
