What to wear and what to take?
If you are planning to visit the dunes remember to wear light garments but always have something warmer in your backpack – strong winds from the direction of the sea might give you chills. Moreover, wear sandals and some kind of headwear. It is also wise to take water and a camera with you. But remember, the sand carried by strong winds may damage your camera.
On the other hand, a trip to the forest requires good hiking shoes, long trousers, headwear and a mosquito repellent. Some routes run through peat bogs or marshes – these are very interesting and beautiful places but you should better not be wearing flip-flops and a swim suit.
There are also some good cycling routes in this area. If you do not have a bike, you can rent one in Leba, Rowy, Smoldzino or Gardna Wielka.
When to visit Pobrzeze Slowinskie?
Whenever you have time. This region is worth visiting during every season, but the best time would be late spring and summer. Then you will experience everything that this region has to offer – listen to the whispering of sand, roars of the sea and songs of birds, taste fried fish and see the sunset over the Baltic sea.
