Polish Society for the Protection of Birds

Polish Society for the Protection of Birds (OTOP) is a non–governmental organization. It was established in 1991 and it has its representatives all over the country.

The main aim of the society is protection of wild birds and their habitats. Among some activities of Polish Society for the Protection of Birds is the purchase of land in the delta of the Swina River and setting up a reserve there, and the program of Bielawskie Błota bird mainstay protection in which local community is involved.

Moreover, the Society puts emphasis on education and publication of up-to-date information on Polish bird mainstays.
