Habitats from Appendix I of Habitats Directive:

• European dry heaths,
• Inland dunes with open Corynephorus and Agrostis grasslands.

The fire in 1993 had damaged significant part of the forests, and at the same time caused very strong expansion of bearberry which one piece have a surface of 100-200 square meters. This stand can be numbered among the biggest known in Poland.
Among the flora of the refuge there were verified 348 species of vascular plants. The stand of spotted orchid is worth seeing. About 15% of the area is use as agricultural lands.
