Puszcza Biala is one of the not very numerous woods' complexes in the central part of the country, where parts of natural vegetation remain to these days. The most characteristic features of the area are: rich world of woods with poorly changed vegetation and rare in European scale freely meandering rivers: Bug and Narew with virgin shape. The Kampinos National Park is located north-west from Warsaw within the borders of Kampinos forest. It has been created in 1959 on the area of 38 544 ha.
There are several historical and architectural monuments of great value in the Kampinos National Park and its surroundings, e.g. a mansion in Zelazowa Wola, the birthplace of Frederic Chopin.
