Ostoja Nadbuzanska - site map
Ostoja Nadbuzanska covers a vast area, stretching from east to west. It makes it accessible from various directions. The best means of transport to sightsee this valuable site is a car.
Three national Road go across the refuge: no 50 Minsk Mazowiecki - Ostrow Mazowiecka, no 63 Siedlce - Lomza, no 19 Lublin - Białystok. Moreover, road no 694 Brok - Ciechanowiec runs along the refuge.
River Bug is a kayak and canoe trail. Such trip which is both pleasure and illuminating.
Places worth seeing:
- Nadbuzanski Landscape Park - well preserved Bug valley with numerous meanders, watercourses, sandbanks, number of nature reserves;
- Podlaski Przelom Bugu Landscape Park- watercourses, well preserved willow and poplar forests;
- Wydma Molozewska Reserve - important refuge for numerous bird species;
- Drohiczyn - picturesque town located on the bank of Bug river, with great view of the river, historic cathedral of the Trinity, church and convent of Benedictine order, orthodox church;
- Janow Podlaski - baroque church from XVIII century, John the Baptist Church, Bishop Palace from XVIII century.
- Grabarka - "Czestochowa of the Orthodox Church", place of pilgrimages for wooden church, thousand of wayside crosses;
- Siemiatycze - monastery complex from the XVII century.
