The biggest value of Lasy Spalskie refuge are old tree stands, remain of historic Puszcza Pilicka. You may find here 200-year-old pines and 250-year old oaks. The unique species of Coleoptera - hermit beetle remains also after old wood. There are many forms of nature protection for exemple: Konewka, Spala and many more nature reserves which were set up to protect those significant values of the area.
