The Botanical Garden in Powsin is an institution of the Polish Science Academy. Scientific research in botanical disciplines as well as biomonitoring of environment are undertaken in this facility.
The glades in Bolimowski Primeval forest are a unique feature of Bolimowski National Park. This soppy meadows and pastures are the only place of this kind in central Poland. Although they constitute only 1% of the Park’s territory, 1/3 of plant species growing in the Park are to be found on those clearings.
