There are two major cities located in the vicinity of Barycz river – Wroclaw in south-west and Ostrow Wielkopoolski in the north. If you wish to visit this province, head for those two cities and from there you can travel to many interesting towns like: Milicz, Odolanow, Zmigrod, Olesnica or Antonin.
Traveling by car:
- If you wish to go to Milicz and you are traveling from Wroclaw head for Trzebnica and if you are coming from the direction of Ostrow Wielkopolski head for Krotoszyn, Zduny and Cieszkow.
- The road from Wroclaw to Odolanow leads through Olesnica and from Ostrow through Tarchaly Wielkopolskie.
- From Wroclaw head for Trzebnica if you wish to get to Zmigrod and from Ostrow you should drive through Krotoszyn and Milicz.
Traveling by train:
- From Wroclaw: there is a direct connection to Zmigrod and if you are traveling to Milicz and Odolanow you must change trains in Olesnica.
- From Ostrow Wielkopolski: if Milicz is your destination you must change trains in Grabow Wielki. You can travel thorough Wroclaw, Leszno or Poznan if you are heading to Zmigrod. There is a direct connection to Odolanow.
There are some touristic, educational and cycling routes in the Valley of the Barycz River Landscape Park.
- “Nature Reserves” Trail – the 45 km long trail leads through Godnow – the nature reserve "Milickie Ponds" – Ruda Milicka – Milicz – nature reserve “Wzgorze Joanny” and the valley of Mlynska Struga.
- Educational and cycling trail through Rychtalskie forests – it leads from Ostrow Wielkopolski to Antonin. You can find numerous nature monuments, natural habitats of plants and animals and lake complexes along this trail.
