The Botanical Garden in Powsin is an institution of the Polish Science Academy. Scientific research in botanical disciplines as well as biomonitoring of environment are undertaken in this facility.

The beginning of the garden dates back to 1970. After being a part of Plant Genetics Department of Polish Science Academy, it became a garden, open to the public since 1990. You can find over 7000 species of different (decorative, usable, tropical) plants on the area of 25 ha.

The Garden is also a place where students can learn a lot about botany and environmental protection. Moreover some seasonal events, like "Days of the Magnolia", "Days of the Rose", take place in this facility.

The Botanical Garden in Powsin

The Botanical Garden in Powsin is an institution of the Polish Science Academy. Scientific research in botanical disciplines as well as biomonitoring of environment are undertaken in this facility.

A nature reserve „Studnica” is located in the western part of Wieruszowska plateau. It is a ravine covered by the pine-oak-spruce mixed primeval forest. Many of the trees growing there are over 150 years old and reach the height of 40 meters.
