Location
Dabrowa Radziejowska is located on Srodkowomaowiecka Lowland, to the north end of Wysoczyzna Rawska, in area of mazowieckie voivodeship.

Ecosystem
Whole area is covered by steppe woods with Quercus spp. This specific type of wood developing on fertile lime ground. It is characterised by sparse structure of tree stands, were mostly sessile oaks dominate. Many sunbeams get through the treetops, that is where the polish name comes from - luminous oak wood. Large amount of light causes development of light- and thermofilic vegetation on the bottom of the forest. That type of ecosystem is characteristic for southern and south-eastern Europe, it occures very rare in Poland.

Flora and Fauna
There are good conditions for many species of vegetation's growth on the areas overgrown by luminous oak woods. There are 190 speices of vascular plants stated. European rowan, European Pear, Common and English Hawthorn, Rhamnus catharticus, European Barberry, Blackthorn may appear in brushwood of Dabrowa Radziejowska. However the undergrowth is dominated by martagon lily, lily of the valley, white cinquefoil, cowslip lungwort, peach-leaved bellflower, burnet saxifrage, wild liquorice. The symbol of fauna on this area is hermit beetle (Osmoderma eremita), the insect from Coleoptera order. This specimen is characteristic for old woods with oaks' tre stands domination.

Threats
The gatherings of luminous oak woods give up and undergo to thermophilic oak-hornbeam from a natural cause. Luminous oak forests need specific usage which is elimination of brushwoods, oaks' favouritism in tree stand and active pasture of cattle in wood. Serious threat is also using wood in economic purposes, which causes changes in tree stands' character, modifications to mixture and coniferus woods, introduction of foreign species.

Nature Protection
There is Dabrowa Radziejowska reserve established in 1984 on the area of the refuge, where valuable stands of luminous oak forests and also martagon lily and lily of the valley are the oject of prottection. Other type of protection is Bolimowsko - Radziejowski Area of Protected Landscape.
