How to get to Dolina Dolnego Bugu refuge?
There are some interesting little towns worth visiting in the vicinity of the valley of the Bug river. One of these towns is Janow Podlaski located near the Landscape Park "Podlaski Przelom Bugu". A famous and old horse stud is located in this town. The terrains near Siemiatycze can be very interesting for angler. These region is well known for its clean beaches and water basins full of fish. Very beautiful and picturesque landscapes can be found in the vicinity of Wyszkow, a town located only 55 km away from Warsaw.

How to get to:

Janow Podlaski

By car:
If you are traveling from Warsaw, head for Siedlce, Mordy, Losice;
From Bialystok, the road leads through Siemiatycze and Konstantynow;
While driving from Lublin the easiest way leads through Lubartow, Radzyn Podlaski and Biala Podlaska.

By train and by bus:
If you choose to travel this way, the best solution is to reach Biala Podlaska and then to take a bus to Janow. If you are traveling from Bialystok, you must change trains in Warsaw and later in Siedlce. From Lublin you can take the route through Dêblin and Lukow.

To Siemiatycze

By car:
Drive through Kuleszyn, Sokolow Podlaski and Drohiczyn if you are traveling from Warsaw;
From Bialystok head for Zabudow and Bielsk Podlaski;
If you are driving from Lublin take the same road as for Janow Podlaski, only turn for Losice and Sarniki in Miedzyrzec Podlaski.

By train:
There is a train station Siemiatycze. From Warsaw the route leads through Siedlce, from Lublin through Warsaw or Lukow and from Bialystok through Czeremcha.

To Wyszkow

By car:
From Warsaw head for Radzymin and Zambrow;
The route from Bialystok leads through Jezewo, Zambrow and Ostrowia Mazowiecka;
If you are driving from Lublin head for Markuszew, Ryki, Garwolin and Lochow.

By train:
You can acces Wyszkow from Warsaw changing trains once in Tluszcz. The route from Bialystok leads through Lapy and Tluszcz and from Lublin through Warsaw.

Touristic trails:

Environmentally - educational trail „Nadbuzanskie Legi” – leads in the vicinity of Janow Podlaski through the terrains of Landscape Park “Podlaski Przelom Bugu”. You can visit a horse stud, admire landscapes, watch birds and learn about ecology from information tables, while hiking along this trail. The trail is 12,5 km long and is recommended for school trips.

Red trail (czerwony Szlak Nadbuzanski) – it leads through Tonkiela, Wolka Zamkowa, Drohiczyn, Zajeczniki, Wolka Nadbuzna, Tuna Mala. You can admire the nature as well as some historic monuments along the 28 km of this trail.

A canoe trip on Bug – a recommended route leads through Niemirow, Sutno, Wajkow, Mielnik, Anusisz, Siemiatycze, Drohiczyn.
