Pogorze Przemyskie covers the area of 641 km2. Landscape of the region is very diverse in terns of its natural features - arranged in a characteristic ridge-and-valley pattern, cut paralelly by river valleys of the San and Wiar and its tributaries. About 900 vascular plants has been identified in the region, including many species typical for the Eastern Carpathians. Such natural richness is the result of intermingling of elements characteristic for mountain and lowland flora. The area is protected within the European Natura 2000 Network due to its status as an important bird refuge. more »
