Some advice
How to get to Gorce Mountains?
If you plan to Rest in Gorce first go to one of the bigger tourist resorts in the region: Rabka, Nowy Targ and Maszana Dolna. From here you can travel to small villages in the heat of Gorce: Niedzwiedz, Lubomierz, Lopuszna, Ochotnica.

Travelling by car:

  • Travelling from Krakow, go towards Myslenice, Stroza, Pcim, Lubon, where you can turn to Mszana Dolna or Skomielna Biala, from where the road leads to Rabka Zdroj.
  • From Rzeszow traveling towards Tarnow, Bochnia, Gdow and Myslienice you shall get to Rabka. From there go towards Chabowka and you will arrive at Nowy Targ.

Travelling by train:

There are direct trans from Krakow to Rabka and Nowy Targ. However if you intend to get to Mszana Dolna you have to change in Chabowka.

Smaller villages located closer to the heart of Gorce mountains have bus connections with Rabka and Nowy Targ.

What is worth seeing in Gorce?
On your visit in Gorce you have to climb the highest peak of the range - Turbacz. At the foot of the mountains there is a youth hostel, where you can stop to overnight. There are two meadows - Hala Dluga and Hala Turbacz - from where one can admire marvelous views.

In the neighbouring towns it is worth visiting some museum: Railway Museum in Chabowka, Wladyslaw Orkan Museum in Poreba Wielka and the Museum of the Order of Smile in Rabka.
