Did you know that...

Mountain Pine (Mugo Pine) is the nature peculiarity of Babia Gora. It appears over the upper lines of forest. It is the coniferous bush, rarely a tree, belonging to the pine family.

In Poland it appears only in the Tatra Mountains, Sudety Mountains and on Babia Gora. It has low habitat requirements, it protects soil from erosion, stopping the ground and avalanche from falling. The needels contain precious essential oil used as a ingredient of herbal teas in Bulgaria. The mountain pine is under strict protection.
