Pieniny National Park is situated in the Pieniny Mountains, in Malopolskie Voivodeship, on the Polish-Slovak boarder. The Pieniny are divided into Pieniny Spiskie, Pieniny Wlasciwe (where the Park lies) and Male Pieniny.

Tatra National Park was established to protect the highest mountains in Poland - the Tatra Mountains. It is located in the southern part of Poland, on the border with the Slovak Republic.
Dunajec river is 251 km long, and flowing northeast into the Vistula River. Its inflows such as: Biely (White) and Čierny (Black) Dunajec, Biela voda (White Water) as well as Javorinka are all fed from the Pieniny Mountains.
