Due to their unique natural values Bieszczady Mountains within NATURA 2000 Network have been marked both as a Site of Special Protection and Site of Community Importance.  

Krzemieniec (Kremenaros, 1221 m asl) is a peak in Bieszczady Mountains where borders of three countries - Poland, Ukraine and Slovakia - meet.  

The Jezioro Solinskie (Lake Solina) is an artificial lake in the Bieszczady region. The lake was created in 1968 by putting up a dam in the San River.  more »

Almost the whole range of Bieszczady is protected within Bieszczady National Park and two landscape parks: Cisniansko-Wetlinski and the Valley of River San.  

Typical feature of Bieszczady Mountains are "poloniny" - alpine meadows growing on altitudes over 1150 m asl.  

Bieszczady Mountains are part of the Eastern Carpathians, which are part of UNESCO's World Network of Biosphere Reserves stanowią.  

On sunny days, from the top of Tarnica one can see a magnificent view - Ukrainian Carpathians Gorgony, and in winter standing on Polonina Wetlinska you can discern peaks of the Tatra Mountains.
