Swietokrzyskie (Holy Cross) Mountains are the oldest mountains in Poland and are the highest part of Kielecko – Sandomierska upland. The highest peaks reach 612 m asl, and are located in 15 km long Lysica mountain range.

Almost the whole area of Swietokrzyskie Mountains is protected as a Swietokrzyski National Park.
