The valley of river Narew is called "Polish Amazon". This area is characterised by many divided and irregulary shaped riverbeds, which are much like those of Amazon.

This type of a riverbed is unique in Europe. The river Narew in this region has a flat bottom and steep, underwater shores. There are also many islands situated between numerous riverbeds.
