Did you know, that...
The glades in Bolimowski Primeval forest are a unique feature of Bolimowski National Park. This soppy meadows and pastures are the only place of this kind in central Poland. Although they constitute only 1% of the Park’s territory, 1/3 of plant species growing in the Park are to be found on those clearings.
The biggest and most beautiful glade is the one called “Siwica”. It is as well the most dangerous, swampy and inaccessible clearing in the Bolimowski Primeval Forest. Its name comes from the morning mists hovering over the swamps. The members of British Royal Ornithological Society were astonished with the multitude of fauna while visiting the Park in 1997.
