In the valley of river Narew there are 145 species of birds nesting. Among them 110 species of waders.

It is 85% of Polish avifauna. In vicinity of river Narew, bittern nests in great numbers and you can also easily spot a ruff, great snipe, common crane, black grouse, bluethroat, common rosefinch, bearded tit and many other birds.
